Sailplane Flying 2016

Got your sailplanes shined up yet, what about that bad servo or  loose linkage, has that been replaced and the linkage been tightened.

It’s not to late for a set of bags for the wings and the fuselage, or maybe a new plane that caught your eye recently.

Clear , no snow fields are just around the corner.

Low spots and south end of fields are still white here, but If your further south the snow may already be gone.

The blue jays were out singing today, and the deer were grazing, they seem very happy.

Don’t get me wrong, we have had some snow this year but nothing like last years snowbomb of a winter.

What about your winch or your Hi Start, do they need any feeding or fine tuning. I’m gonna have a look at my winch and see if it needs a little lube hear and there.

P1160856 I lost a radio over the winter, well sent it to Texas, all part of the master plan to get another 12Z. That means I have to program my radio to fly the Falcon 880 as it was still setup only on the 10C.

Fun times ahead:)

I got some painting done yesterday and today on my Mirage, I have been able to get the shop nice and toasty so 2 coats of white have been laid down.

By the way I’ve noticed Tremclad has changed their formula on their rust paint, not sure I like it as much as the other, sure smiles nice though, kinda like candy and well suited to basement painting I suppose.

Just had a chance to review my records from last spring and I see I was out for the 1st time May 14 and I got in 236 launchs with the last day being Nov 18.

Hopefully the 1st or 2nd week in March will bring dry fields and I can get in some hand tosses with my sub 40 Oz Mirage.
