It was quite a task to get this map together and embed it here 🙂

If you click on the red pointers on the map they will reveal more info

Fedex Ground trip to Tatamagouche from Tucson

It’s been an interesting trip        🙂

I’ve been wondering where the package is  and made some calls

I was told by the good people at Fedex in Moncton, that  Fedex turned the parcel over to Oceanex in Montreal

Normally  it’s given to Armour Transport as Fedex does not have it’s own vehicles for their Ground division here, however there was a availability problem with a container so it was given to Oceanex

They do however have Fedex Air vehicles too deliver Packages, and a Fedex Truck goes by here everyday except weekends.

The Package did also get transferred in a warehouse in Moncton, 1 1/2 Hrs North of here, I believe sometime on the 4th of Feb

Interestingly they chose to send the Package to Dartmouth rather then direct to Tatamagouche.

After all Armour Transport has been here before out of Moncton:)

Next up was a short excursion to New Glasgow, where I found it on Friday Morning.

I spoke with Fedex in Moncton on Friday morning and they where able to tell me that Polestar had the Package in New Glasgow

When I spoke with Polestar in New Glasgow, they told me they had a snow storm overnight, and didn’t know when it would get sent on the 45 minute trip to Tatamagouche.

Snow storm, no kidding, we get them all the time in the winter.

I usually get prepared and make arrangements to clean the yard so my vehicles can move when there is a storm.

Also their two drivers where not in as we spoke, so who knows what shoveling they had to do to get onto the highway for work.    :):)

A little Math

Tale of the Trip continues

Tucson  to Montreal 2600 miles, 7 days including a Saturday and a Sunday, and a visit with the Canada Border Inspection Agency

Montreal to Tatamagouche via Dartmouth and New Glasgow  870 miles , 6 days including a Saturday and a Sunday

On the other hand we have 1/10th the population here compared to USA , so maybe that explains everything.

Just In, a check on Armour Transportations site shows the package was picked up in Dartmouth on the 5th for delivery on the 6th in Tatamagouche

I hope Fedex reads this. Just Sayin

Tuesday the 10th.

after a number of calls to Fedex in Texas and in Dartmouth, I have confirmed the Package will be delivered today, and If not the Manager will personally drive to New Glasgow and get it and bring it over.  Thanks to the Fedex Dartmouth people

News Flash from Fedex, you can see this online, and they even called to report this

The Offical word is that it was undeliverable because of snow and road conditions.

I know that the roads where passable  since Friday the 6th, so I’ll chalk it up to living in the middle of no where and Armour being reluctant to making a trip with a 40 footer with just one package on board:):)

As advertised the package arrived in perfect condition so I was Happy
