Warm days are few and far between this time of year. Frost blankets the field on many mornings, and the toughest of blue jays are still scrounging for food.\"20161105_125727\"<\/p>\n

As the morning transpired the breeze was down and it looked like perhaps a day for a few flights.<\/p>\n

I also have a few planes to store away so with a little luck I could tidy up the Supra , charge a few batteries and get out for a couple tows.<\/p>\n

Soon it was 1 o’clock and I had the oil drained out of the John Deere ride on, the new filter in place and I was considering not flying.<\/p>\n

Oh well I thought I can give it a few launches.<\/p>\n

The breeze was out of the north, sometimes turning to the west and buffeting somewhat.<\/p>\n

The thermometer read 10 Deg C when I looked at it from a favorable angle<\/p>\n

I ran the line out setting the turn around towards the north west corner of the field and the winch at the woods.<\/p>\n

This was a shorter line then usual<\/p>\n

Supra in hand I launched and soon found myself in some lift and up near 1000 ft. two eagles were already there, soon after one drew in his wings and headed south. Perhaps he wasn’t so happy with me.<\/p>\n

The other disappeared somewhere as I ended up in some sink and that was that.<\/p>\n

Back on the ground at 5:40 (Min sec). Not bad already running thru my mind was whether to get the chute and go up again.<\/p>\n

The breeze is a bit nippy on the hands and a lot of the color in the leaves fell with the wind and rain of the last few days.<\/p>\n

I got in two more flights the next 5:36 and the last 6:04. The last flight found me down low a couple times and was able to circle back up perhaps to 500 ft. Then the wind came up a bit stronger from the west and that party was over<\/p>\n
