\"P1080909-001\"<\/a>The morning started out with a rude awakening, snow in Prince Edward Island tomorrow, 2 – 4 inches and being just 12 km from there it looks like we were about to turn another leaf.<\/p>\n

No snow tires on the car, no snow blower or bucket on the tractor they are still stashed away from last May and now we’re facing this.<\/p>\n

I spent the morning dealing with changing out a set of summer wheels for a set of winters. Of course the summers needed to be scrubbed and readied for next spring.\"P1160104-001\"<\/a><\/p>\n

By noon there was a slight breeze from the north and the sky was turning to a vibrant blue, seems the cooler weather does that. :):)<\/p>\n

I hadn’t had the Elio out in a while so I would fly it later on.<\/p>\n

The Ezgo has been getting rather cranky and on many a day lately I have had to use the winch battery to get it going.\"P1160109-001\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Today was another one of those days , however soon I was out to the field and set to go.<\/p>\n

I pinned the turnaround at the north end of the field, looped the line around it, and anchored the\u00a0 ring over the hook on the rear of the Ezgo..<\/p>\n

The winch usually rests in the rear of the Ezgo, this takes care of taking out the line as\u00a0 I drive south, and I don’t mean Florida<\/p>\n

I couldn’t help but notice three deer up in the field , I’ve been told they can predict inclement weather so two of them where lying down taking in some rays.\"P1160108-001\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Maybe though they were watching me<\/p>\n

Seems my friends, the 4 bucks are not around so they had a moment too themselves.<\/p>\n

Have since seen a fifth buck outstanding in the field. he was just a little spike<\/a> horn. When you see these in their element well you gotta wonder why they are hunted<\/p>\n

So, back to the flying at hand, I sent the Elio up the line twice and both times it was back on the ground in a couple minutes. Maybe the battery was 1\/2 dead I thought.\"P1160113-001\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Well it looks like it’s just one of those days , Launch and Landing practice , it never hurts I suppose..<\/p>\n

So, I sent it up the line one more time , I gave it a huge heave on launch, stretched the line out as I went up, and added a bit of zip as I came of the ring.\"P1160102-001\"<\/a> Sometimes you just know, and this was one of those times, it went up and up, over this tree line in the distance, that’s what I believe anyway.<\/p>\n

I was back on the ground after 11 minutes, pretty good I thought, considering I can feel the nip in the air on my fingers..<\/p>\n
